Mounties, military staff sent home
Canadian Mounties and military staff assigned to protect the Vancouver Olympics have been sent home for disciplinary reasons. Royal Canadian Mounted Police Assistant Commissioner Bud Mercer, who is in charge of the Integrated Security Unit for the Olympics, confirmed Wednesday that two officers had been disciplined and sent home for breaching “ethics and values” in separate incidents.
