What type of toner do i need to calm down my yellow roots?

I home tint my hair which i’ve have done for several years but this time round the roots have gone yellow whilst the rest of my hair is ok what type of toner do i need to calm down my yellow roots?

    a violet based toner. Just don’t get it on the rest of your hair, it will turn sorta grey.

    you need a blonde toner with a blue or violet base on thosr roots only. this will tone out the gold
