it’s really not that hard to do once you practice it a bit.

He does do it with speed though, but once you get good at it, you can easily catch him.

According to the USA Jump Rope Federation standard, the “Skier” or “Slalom” is done with a two-footed jump. Shown here is more of a “tire run” with a single-footed wide stepping run. Love your enthusiasm–keep it up!

I think my problem is how I hold the rope. i see you hold it out in front of your body a bit. I hold it out to the side with my elbows in. gonna try it your way tomorrow, see if I have any better luck.

How often should these exercises be done a day? Do you think a few 30 second reps of each would suffice?..

if you step on the rope in the middle with both feet you should be able to pull the handles to your armpits so depending on your height, i am about 5′8 and i use a 9 foot jump rope

  17. mewmews1218 says:

man he makes it look so easy! :S

  18. Sinnister81 says:

    what rope is that?

  19. robblac says:

recommended rope is, hodgkins number 442. with a daiomorphetic bead, with mylar inserts, always buy a cold rolled ball facing flathead.. very important !

Great cardio… could u put on a longer workout though? That’d be great!!

  21. gxer says:

the jump rope he’s using looks like mine its ball bearings, i don’t believe its weighted he could correct me. the correct length of a jump rope varies if you hold both handles and step with both feet on the rope the handles should come just above your waist that’s generally a good length but again it varies with personal preference.

  22. ramone2185 says:

is that a weighted jump rope? and what’s the recommended rope length to get usually?
