What type of running shoes should I be looking at?

I run mostly outside on pavement or dirt/gravel, then occasionally on treadmills. I run about 2 to 3 miles / 6 days a week. Because I run outside should I look at trail shoes or go with a regular running shoe? Also, anyone have any suggestions on good brands to try?

You should try Nike’s or Puma’s. I’ve worn both and like them both alot.

You should probably get running shoes.

    Hope i helped!

if you are running on mostly pavement, treadmills, and solid packed dirt, stick with a road shoe. if you’ve never been properly fit for a running shoe, i suggest you go to a running specific store to get measured and fitted correctly. they can also tell you if you pronate or supinate (roll your foot in or out when you step) and what your arch height is. a good fit can make a HUGE difference, take it from me. I’ve been running for 10 + years and just recently was fit correctly, and the difference is amazing. anyway, i like asics but everyone’s different!

Well it not only matters what type of ground you run on it is also about what your feet need. First you must find out what your arch type is, wet your foot and then go and walk on pavement or concrete and then if there is a small line between your heel and feet pads that means you have a high arch, if there a slightly larger line you have a low arch and anywhere between there you have a medium arch then go to this link at runnersworld.com to determine your shoe type and what shoe is best for you: http://www.runnersworld.com/cda/shoelabshoefinder/1,7154,s6-240-325-329-0-0-0-0-0,00.html

I hope this helps it did for mean! Happy running!

do some research and im sure you can find a running specialty store in your area. there they will put you on a treadmill, watch you run barefoot and they will give you a couple of different types of shoes that may work the best for you based on how you foot strikes the ground.
go and try on some of the shoes they give you and see which brand and model suits you the best. everyone’s foot is different so everyone has different preferences in shoes. i personally like new balance and asics, but hate nike shoes cuz they hurt my feet. but you may be the opposite.
