What is a really good store bought toner for hair?

My hair was recently colored at a salon. It is TOO RED. The stylist insisted it wasn’t but two strangers have commented about my red hair. I need it to be more brown.

What is a good semi-permanent toner?
I know where to buy it. I am wondering about brands.

  1. Briget M says:

    Try target

  2. If you want CHANGE cash a dollar says:

Use the John Frieda line of glazes, use the darkest brown one, that will not help a LOT but it will be a bit less red.

I do advise you to go back to your stylist. Most will correct it without question, it is a little bit uncomfortable but just be honest. If you don’t want to do that, and want something immediate and more effective than the John Frieda at covering redness, then use a semi-permanent dye with the word “ash” in the name. Ash neutralizes redness with cool tones instead of reddish and golden. Any brand will do. Good luck!
